About Us

PeterPeter – began riding at the age of nine and quickly joined the competitive scene through Pony Club. Peter was encouraged by visiting local and overseas competitors to seek as much instruction as was possible to allow his horsemanship and riding skills to reach their full potential. Personal success was achieved from Grade 1 Pony Club through to representing his state in the EFA Young Rider Three Day Event. Whilst competing in the Adelaide Showjumping Championships, Peter spent two weeks working with dual Gold medal winner Gillian Rolton.

Throughout the years, Peter has worked for Mark Kavanagh and Greg Eurell, breaking in horses for them, after which he went on to form his own business, H&H Horse Breaking which grew in success, finally reaching numbers of one hundred. When the business dissolved, Peter continued to do contract breaking for two years prior to joining the team at Cranbourne Equine Tuition Services.

Peter shows an individual style in his breaking methods and likes to work one on one with the horse without the restrictions of tying them under or leaving them alone to learn about the girth and mouthing. The mouthing process is done on the lunge, working closely with the horse and allowing it to gain its confidence. Peter likes to use a softer and more understanding approach, which eliminates a lot of undue stress to the horse throughout its learning process. Because of this, the horses maintain a healthy weight and build good muscle tone as they are not exposed to high levels of pressure.

LianaLiana - works in partnership with Peter, breaking in and educating our young horses and riding our older horses whilst in pre-training.

Over the last 12 months Liana has adopted the same methods as Peter, ensuring that the young horses are always handled and educated in the same manner to avoid confusion to the horse. Liana is a very patient and capable horseperson and is a highly valued member of Victory Park.

MandyMandy – is in charge of the office and handles all accounts and customer enquiries.  Mandy grew up in Mordialloc and worked full time for her father as a Stablehand at Epsom.  Mandy has always had a passion for horses and they have played a big part in her life.  From showing ponies, to swimming horses at Carrum beach or just riding for pleasure, they have always played a key role.   Mandy has a life long history in racing, beginning at Epsom where her father trained for many years and later moving to Pakenham and obtaining her owner-trainers license. Mandy has previously bred and owned thoroughbreds and has a good knowledge of the racing industry.  "Spending time with the horses and getting to know their personalities is what makes me happy". "It is a very rewarding experience to see horses out winning on the track and knowing that we played a part in it."
BobBob – is our resident truck driver and is responsible for safely transporting our horses to the Cranbourne Training Complex twice a week. Bob has been a part of racing for many years and displays a very kind and gentle manner when working with the horses.
